Our history

The foundation for SIM was built in the late 1980’s when Paul Disch and Hanh Disch-Lê started their international business and legal careers, leading large scale operations and business development projects for multinational organizations in Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

In spite of their enormous strategic importance, many corporations today still assign on an ad hoc basis the management, negotiation and implementation of international business development projects to senior operational managers often with limited time and or international project management exposure.

Recognizing that success or failure in international business development heavily depends on unbiased and professional project management, SIM opened its first office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2002.

One year later, SIM opened its second office in Brussels, Belgium where we also represent our clients’ before various governmental authorities and help them interface with regulatory authorities and obtain regulatory clearances, particularly in the European Union.

Although we have privileged access to an extensive global network of international bankers, law and public relation firms and specialized consultants, we pride ourselves to be totally independent in the services we offer.

This way our clients can always be assured that our services and advice are fully objective and solely driven by the individual requirements of the clients. In other words, we leverage our global experience and are driven by the individual needs of our clients to bring into focus and achieve our clients’ objectives.

We are proud and grateful to have gained the trust and confidence of leading multinational clients and their senior executives who demand the highest quality and professional expertise in project management. We are and will stay a boutique firm with a clear industry focus, global experience and a philosophy in fostering a long-term partnership with our clients.
