“… The Small States Asset Class (SAC) initiative is an effort to establish the world's small states — economies with populations under 12 million — as a recognized, investable asset class across 160 economies, built on the conviction that small states are structurally undervalued and that adaptability outperforms scale in periods of disruption.
In my work, I have engaged with CEO-level teams and institutional leaders from around the world. Hanh Disch-Le and Paul Disch stand out — because they are smart, tough, and kind. They know when to push, when to back off, and when to just laugh. The moment they heard about SAC, they were engaged. And they never stopped. Hanh led our Arctic strategy, advancing the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Arctic Circle Forum and helping shape the Arctic Green Grid — a North Atlantic clean energy corridor and one of SAC's most compelling proof-of-concept narratives. Paul drove the Guyana project pipeline and advanced SAC's engagement with the European Commission, both critical pillars in SAC's emerging ecosystem.
Both bring a serious grasp of geopolitical and financial dynamics and the ability to build relationships at the highest levels. Their counsel is sharp, their commitment unconditional, and their "just do it" mindset rare at any level. Their contributions to SAC reflect genuine strategic insight and a deep commitment to the mission. It has been my pleasure to benefit from their engagement with the SAC Initiative.”
